💚 A HUGE THANK YOU FROM OUR POPPYWOOD FAMILY! 💚
Wow! We honestly cannot thank everyone enough for the amazing response to our recent post about how we can save our tearoom. 🥹❤️
Thank you for every comment, suggestion, idea and bit of advice, and especially to those of you who have reached out to us personally, offering your support, knowledge and expertise. It genuinely means more to us than you know, and we are already busy putting some of your fantastic ideas into practice!
Firstly, a little clarification! 🙈
We realise there may have been some confusion regarding walk-ins. When we mentioned these, we were referring to customers who have booked an alpaca walk or experience and may wish to walk in to the tearoom afterwards, rather than general members of the public simply popping in for a cuppa! ☕️🦙 We apologise if this wasn't clear.
So, what are we doing to move things forward? Here's what we've been working on! 👇
🌿 FIGHTING FOR OUR TEAROOM
We've now written to the council asking for our licence and planning conditions to be reviewed. Our hope is that we can eventually open the tearoom to the general public, allowing everyone to enjoy it, not just Poppywood Alpacas customers. This would make such a huge difference to the future of our little tearoom! 🤞
🫖 AFTERNOON TEA & GRAZING BOARDS
We're adding the option to enjoy an afternoon tea or grazing board alongside ANY of our alpaca walks and experiences, with a minimum booking of 2 people.
These will be bookable directly through our booking system, right up until 24 hours before your experience. So, why not make your alpaca visit extra special with something delicious afterwards? 😍
🍂 OCTOBER OPENING DATES
We'll be opening the tearoom to Poppywood Alpacas customers during the October half term and every Saturday throughout October, with Sundays added if demand requires it!
So, if you're planning a visit to see our gorgeous alpacas, keep an eye out for our opening dates and come and enjoy a little treat with us. 🦙☕️
🥕 AFFORDABLE MEET & FEED SESSIONS
We're also in the process of adding a couple of our popular Meet & Feed sessions, priced at just £5 per person, including admission and a bag of alpaca food!
Mini walks and crafting activities will be available as optional extras. These sessions offer a much more affordable way for families to enjoy time with our alpacas, and it's an idea so many of you have mentioned. We can't wait to get these up and running!
