Rock ‘N’ Rolls - Baking with AJ Cooking and baking for non-profit fun topped with musings on music, podcasts and sprinkled with thou Hi, I’m Andi or AJ to some folks. X

I’ve recently rediscovered my love of all things culinary and kitchen-related and thought I’d create a page to document what I’ve been up to. I’m never happier (well, except from when I’ve got an expensive guitar in my hand or a cuddle from my lovely other half) than when I’m getting messy creating something for friends and loved ones in the kitchen, listening to music and having a right good old

boogie. I’ve also recently been making some of my creations to order for fundraisers close to my heart so stay tuned and like this page to get the latest news regarding these. I’d love to hear your thoughts on what I’ve been getting up to and if you’d like me to perhaps make something for you or an event that you’re involved in. Good evening people!

After a bit of a break I’ve done one of my Sunday afternoon bakes to take into work tomorrow for my lovely colleagues as my “Motivational Monday” treat.

It’s probably safe to do so now so that we’re over the festive period and settled back in so I hope that a little pick-me-up will be appreciated.

Today’s creation is a basic lemon drizzle cake, I’m hoping that this will go down nicely with a cuppa at break time.

I’ve not posted one of my guitar videos for a little while, so here’s one I’ve learned this afternoon for my band practice tomorrow. It’s a 20 year old song and I’ve only just actually got around to studying it properly.

Happy Sunday afternoon peeps!

I’ve done a spot of baking this afternoon to take into work tomorrow at the request of some of my students for them to sell as part of a charity bake sale that they have organised.

Mozzarella, pesto and tomato bread swirls. Should be lovely eaten warm or dipped into some soup.

Morning,

One year ago today since I created my baking page.

Since then I’ve done quite a number of bakes for charities or local good causes and made plenty of my amateurish creations for special occasions for family, friends and colleagues.

Thank you to anyone who has been supportive of this. It’s not a business, it’s just something I do because I enjoy it.

I’m grateful to anyone that has read any of my blogs and recipes and that’s something I need to make an effort to be more of a regular thing.

Good evening everyone!

We had a really busy day at work today with term starting and it was mentioned that once again I’d not done my usual Motivational Monday baking this week. To be fair I didn’t get back in the house until yesterday evening after a weekend away in Cardiff watching my beloved pro wrestling live.

So once again and by request because our staff team are amazing, I’ve baked an orange sponge tin loaf with candied orange pieces this evening.

I’m hoping to create a new buzzword today too, after Motivational Monday and then Therapeutic Thursday I give you Tasty Tangy Tuesday!
