And a bit of an explanation as to why I’m back!
Many of you will have seen my posts and stories a few weeks ago about me taking a six month break from baking due to ‘personal circumstances’ and now wondering why I’m back so soon!
To cut a long story short, my partner Nick is coping much better with this round of chemo than we expected, (it’s still very s**t don’t get me wrong, but the smell of baking isn’t making him sick like it did before) so today we did a test run to see how he can cope with the baking smells and so far so good! So this means than I’ll be able to bake on the weeks where we don’t have chemo or IVF appointments and I’ll be able to get some joy back in my life by baking for you lovely lot!
Since 2023, Sass Bakes hasn’t been about the money for me but instead about how it makes me feel being elbow deep in flour and sugar and enabling me to step away from real life for a few hours whilst I create delicious bakes for my friends, family and for you guys. So knowing that I can whip up a sponge or bake a loaf of bread when my head is getting a bit full is such a relief!
So, on that note…here is this week’s menu!
Pre-orders are now open for collections and whatever I have left tomorrow evening will go straight up onto Deliveroo!
