I am so sad to write this😢

I will not be taking on any new orders until Christmas time. The cost of living has hit small businesses hard and it’s no longer viable for me to carry on Mix & Batch with the way things are. My ingredient prices have tripled, my orders have significantly decreased, Halloween is round the corner one of my busiest times of year and I’ve had hardly any interest in my Halloween boxes, this time last year I was fully booked to the hilt!

I know everyone is having to tighten their belts when it comes to spending, I am too but it’s just gotten to the point where I can’t compete with big chain companies and still make some profit. Mix & Batch has been my baby for the past 1.5 years. I’m not closing down for good, but I have to wait until things settle down again and hopefully I will be back at Christmas with some festive treats🌲

From the bottom of my heart thank you EVERYONE who has supported me. Whether it’s been a physical order, or just a like, share or comment.

Everyone who has paid a deposit for an order will still go ahead, unfortunately if I have not received a deposit your order will be cancelled.

I am so grateful for everyone’s support and I’ll hopefully be back soon🖤

I am going to be doing my spooktacular treat boxes again for collection Sunday 30th October.

Boxes pictured include:

•Critter cupcake🕷
•”Freddo” Kruger brownie🔪
•Bloody blondie🩸
•Vanilla butter’scream’ cupcake👻
•Spookie-cookie🍪🧟‍♀️
Priced at £18 per box.

If you don’t fancy a full treat box I will be offering mixed cupcake boxes of the Critter Cupcakes and Vanilla butter-scream cupcakes £15 a box (can be seen on the photos).

🧁Important notice🧁

Well I knew this day would come, I have held on for as long as possible but I am now in a position where I have no choice but to increase my prices. The cost of ingredients has rocketed in the past year as well as fuel, and energy all of which I need as a cake maker! All of these factors considered I am going to be creating a new price list for cupcakes, brownies and tray bakes. As usual custom occasion cakes such as birthday cakes, weddings, etc will all be quoted individually depending on customer requirements but these will also see an increase to what you might have paid for one in the past.

To put this in perspective last year a block of butter cost £1.48, it then rose to £1.75 and now it’s at £2 a block. As you can imagine if I don’t increase inline with this I am basically making cakes for free 🥹

I hope you will all understand, I am so grateful for every single customer who supports my small business and hopefully this won’t put you off coming back! There are ways to support a small business without spending a penny on the picture below🙏🏼

I can confirm I will NOT be making fondant figures again🤣 I love how my fox turned out for this two tier Biscoff cake but the stress was unreal especially in 30°c heatwave!!😅
