where should the caramel go in a caramel apple crumble tart?

Under the apples so you get a hidden sticky toffee surprise? Or over the apples, under the crumble?

I’ve done both. Tony has yet to taste test them.

It did get me thinking about caramel apple Betty, though. Does anyone remember them? I used to serve them when I worked in a pub restaurant back in the 90s.

So, which one would you choose?

It’s my 50th today.

I was planning some sort of birthday giveaway to get more people through the door….

Then I realised I’d rather the people who already come through the door benefited from it.

So this week, I’ll just be doing more random acts of kindness.

I’ll be in the café most of the week, so if you pop in… you never know. If I’m not there…. My amazing staff will have instructions instead of me!💕
