EDUCATION all day long
Here I go about to start my š©š Ranty McRanterson
The Wellness Industryā¦..queue a billion dollar industry making more money than I can ever imagine ever having.
But at what cost?
Last week I unfollowed around 500 accounts another mass cul pendingā¦ā¦Why? Because half the content is absolute garbage. There I said it. Utter sh*te. People, businesses and big corporations using their space to āinfluenceā āeven āconditionā women (and men) into believing we are just not good enough!
Women are no longer allowed to age, weāve to pause time and somehow back pedal back into our youth. Iām so siiiiiiiiiick of it.
Iām a firm believer in educating women about their bodies, their biological systems and how to function well and look after ourselves from the inside out first and foremost.
Im absolutely not knocking anyone who buys into it, I have too, but it grates on me daily that this is what a lot of the wellness industry has now become.
Just another big money making institution š«
When I started in holistic health 20 years ago the cost was minimal, the standards were exceptionally high and the aim was clear- to improve peopleās wellbeing - profit was secondary.
Nowadays a huge proportion of it is geared towards profit. Pushing products, treatments, quick fixes, trends, gadgets, fads, all the crap of the day basically getting shoved down our throats in order to make us feel like crap if we donāt have it ā it needs to stop. Iām just not into it and itās getting right on my t**s.
Iām not āgatekeepingā this rant any longer because Iām āliterallyā āobsessedā with this nonsense now š I mean how ridiculous is that patter.
The wellness industry is becoming part of the problem instead of being part of the solution and it makes me quite sad, frustrated and a bit angry actually.
Iām not sure what other practitioners thoughts are on this?? I would love to know. Or is it just me being a big perimenopausal rage magnet šš
