She took the cake to Morocco safely!😁

I think it’s a good time to tell this story😊. Sometime ago, a family friend decided to pull off a mega surprise for his wife’s 40th… in Morocco. I was drafted in to make the cake. It had to be relatively small and simple so it could get there in one piece.

I was told to hand the cake over to Mariah who would travel from Aberdeen to Morocco…on her own🫣🧐 …with the cake. I was quite nervous giving this young person this responsibility but I wrapped up the cake carefully (see pic😅) and talked her through cake care during transit.

Mariah managed to get the cake a seat for one leg of the journey (see pic with cake all strapped in). The cake also got to sit next to the pilot for another leg of the trip! It got there in one piece and I got updates all the way. The cake got unwrapped and was just fine…as you can see.

Earlier this week, Mariah got elected as a Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament (Aberdeen Central)!!! Am I surprised? No. Why? I learnt through this interaction with her that she listens carefully, she remembers, she gets people to listen, she gets stuff done!! All the best Miss MSYP! Mariah.msyp We are so proud of you for this achievement and we pray for you … you will do amazing!!!!🙌🏽👍🏽👍🏽🙌🏽
