With how much has gone on this week, I’ve completely forgotten to update you all that we will be CLOSED this Bank Holiday Monday! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

Like I always say… Bank Holidays don’t come around very often, but when they do, we have to grab them with both hands! 🙌🏼🩵

A couple of days off sounds lovely… although when you run your own business, is it ever actually a day off? 🤣 It usually just becomes another day to fill with all the business things you don’t get time to do while you’re actually at work!

We hope you all have an AMAZING Bank Holiday weekend 🩵

And don’t forget… we’ll be back OPEN bright and early at 7:30am on Tuesday 1st September! 🥪☕️

Well… hopefully no more drama today 🤞🤣

Firstly, a massive thank you for all the support yesterday. The messages, comments and kind words really did mean a lot to us all. 🩵

We stayed behind at the bakery cleaning everywhere the police had scanned for fingerprints, and basically everywhere our unwanted visitor had been. 🙃 Unfortunately, he’s caused damage to our back door frame and managed to snap a window off…

But we do have to give a special mention to our bolted back door, which clearly woke up yesterday morning and chose violence because that thing was NOT giving in without a fight. 🤣👏🏼 10/10 effort from the back door. Employee of the month pending.

But… we move, don’t we! 💪🏼

We’re back, cleaned up and carrying on as normal. The police are doing everything they need to do, and we’re staying positive.

And if I’ve learnt anything in life… karma has a funny way of coming back around. 😉

Here’s to a much less eventful day at Becky’s Bakery! 🩵

Unfortunately, we’ve had a bit of a horrible start to the day at Becky’s Bakery this morning, as we’ve been broken into. 💔

We are still open and doing our best to carry on as normal, but we just ask that you please bear with us and be patient with our team today. The police and CSI are currently with us, taking photographs, gathering evidence and doing everything they need to do.

It’s not the start to the day we expected, but we won’t let it beat us. 🩵

Thank you, as always, for your patience, kindness and support — it really does mean the world to us, especially on days like today.

Being a food business, cleanliness is so important to us — and that doesn’t just mean inside the shop! 🧼✨

Our poor awning takes an absolute battering. Being right on the main road, mixed with the lovely Lancashire weather 🌧️🤣, all the dirt and grime sticks to it and it’s been getting harder and harder to keep our beautiful turquoise looking… well, turquoise! 🩵

For MONTHS we’ve been wondering how on earth we were going to get it properly clean. And there was absolutely no chance I was getting up a pair of ladders after my experience putting the Christmas lights up… once was enough, thank you very much 🤣🤣

Then we spotted Ryan’s post on Facebook! 🙌

Ryan came out, did a little test patch for us and it came up brilliantly — well done awning for cooperating 😂👏 — so he came back today to tackle the whole thing.

And JUST LOOK AT IT 😍🩵✨

Back to its gorgeous, bright turquoise self and looking beautifully clean again! What a difference!

Thank you so much Ryan — absolutely brilliant job and another thing ticked off the Becky’s Bakery never-ending to-do list! 😂🩵

Life is SO busy, and sometimes you genuinely don’t get time to just stop and think.

Between the shop, the children, running a house and everything else life throws at you, sometimes it just gets away with you.

But I’m sat in the car right now, the rain absolutely throwing it down, waiting to go inside because I’ve just straightened my hair and there’s no chance I’m getting it wet 🤣 So I’m having a rare little moment to reflect.

And I’ve been thinking about just how far we’ve come at Becky’s Bakery. 🩵

Opening our doors with so much unknown was scary, especially with so many fabulous sandwich shops around us. But lots of hard work, perseverance, time, effort, amazing products and never cutting back on quality later… we’re 3 and a half years in and I still have to pinch myself!

We’ve built an amazing little community with our incredible customers and the best team around us.

So this is just a little thank you. 🩵 To every single person who walks through our doors, recommends us, shares our posts, places an order or has supported us along the way — you’re the reason we’re still here doing what we love.

And I’ll never take that for granted. 🩵

Now I suppose I’d better brave the rain… 🤣☔️

We genuinely do NOT do things in halves in this family 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

All I wanted was a new dining table… simple enough, right? WRONG. 😂

3 B&Ms later and we finally find THE table… in Bury 🙌🏼

Me, Becky, absolutely adamant:
“IT WILL FIT IN MY MUM’S KIA RIO.”
“It’ll be fine.”
“Trust me.” 😂

Plot twist: it did not fit in my mum’s Kia Rio. Not even slightly. 😭😂

So cue us sat in B&M car park for 40 minutes, dining table in pieces, waiting for my uncle to come and save the day in his estate 🚗💨😂

All for a bloody dining table.

Honestly, you couldn’t write it could you 😂😂😂

And yes… before anyone asks… the table was worth the drama 🤣🤎

Whatever those results looked like, getting to that point is an achievement in itself. 💙

And if you didn’t get the grades you were hoping for, please don’t panic. Your results do not define you, and they certainly don’t decide your whole future. Sometimes things don’t go to plan, but there is always another route, another opportunity and another door waiting to open. ✨

Be proud of how far you’ve come, keep going and remember — a set of grades is only one tiny part of your story. 🫶
