She's the size of a month old cria! Strong and well at 2 days old.

Sadly, cria season got off to a very sad start yesterday.

Poor Indiana (Treacle) had a stillborn, full term cria yesterday.

We so rarely get what we hope for from a breeding, but typically, this was a stunning black female, with a white face and feet. She would have been a much loved asset.

Alpacas mourn thier dead, and usually we give them time with a lost soul, but This mum didn't recognise her poor little baby.

It's so hard watching them look for thier lost cria......

For everyone's information, especially those who were so kind at the Spring Live show, my daughter Claire has now had her surgery.

Her gall bladder has been removed, along with a number of stones, including one of a centimetre diameter which was blocking her bile duct.

Whilst she is still sore, she on the mend!!!

Sorry to report that our beloved great oak has fallen!

We are devastated by the loss of this beautiful tree.

At approx 450 years old, it has seen so much, but alas lost it's battle with rot today.
