Can you believe I shipped this cake to London and it arrived safely! it was BY Royal mail next day delivery, I'll post another video of how I did it. this was a 8" fruit cake with marzipan between the layers and iced in ganache then covered in fondant, with gold stencilling. I don't normally like using fondant but it's the best and safest way to ship to customers. fondant firms up in the fridge which acts as a protective barrier for the cake and the design. all toppers were removed and packaged so that customers could reattach when received.
