Working groups are back! We've finally managed to get our act together and figure out a date for a working party. A great way for new plot-holders to get to know some others and generally have some input into the site as a whole. In the past it has always been a fun, friendly affair, and there's a whole range of stuff that needs to doing to suit all kinds of abilities. So please join us on Sunday 25th September at 10am, tea and biscuits provided!

Hello, Unfortunately the allotments were broken into and vandalized, it seems like a fair bit of damage has been done especially down the end by the river. Shed's broken into, smashed up, Polytunnels wrecked, crops pulled up etc. If anyone saw anything please let us know, and remember not to keep anything valuable in your sheds! Joseph

Information for plotholders: Some of the water pipes/taps are in need of repair, but we are planning to turn on the water next weekend. Thank you for your patience.

The growing year is starting again! For various reasons, we weren't able to take potato orders directly last year, but we have ordered the three usual varieties and they should be delivered in time for next weekend. We have Desiree, Kestrel and King Edward. These are all £2.50 per 7lb. Unfortunately, we don't have any onion sets yet this year, but we'll let you know if we can locate a good value option.. We will also be having the first delivery of Humax compost (£5/60l) and we have bags of organic waste compost (£4/70l) in the house too. The shop will be open on Sundays 11-12am, please do not enter the house, we will bring the goods out to you maintaining a physical distance, in mind of Covid-19. . Email us if you would like to reserve some potatoes for later this year and please let any neighbours know that may not have access to email/social media.

There has been an urgent recall of Mr Fothergill courgette seeds, which produce poisonous bitter tasting courgettes. It's best to cut a courgette slice and lick it to test for ultra bitterness before cooking and eating the whole thing (and regretting it). More info here:

Mr Fothergill’s, the Newmarket based seed experts, have recalled stocks of Courgette ‘Zucchini’ with the batch code I on the
