20th February 2025šitās a long one but please readā¦
I am honoured to donate this cake to Forward
Thinking Birmingham - who are the cityās mental health partnership for 0-25 year olds - in support of their Mental Health Ambassador launch.
Mental health is such a big thing that many people experience, and after seeing both sides of mental health, from suffering myself - to grieving over people that didnāt think they were strong enough to live on, I thought it was only right that I participated in some kind of way. Please remember that taking care of your mental well-being is not a weakness; itās a strength. For too long, mental health has been a topic that is whispered in public and misunderstood by many. If we break a bone, we seek medical help. If we have the flu, we rest and recover. So if youāre suffering mentally, please donāt feel that you have to hide it, push through the pain or suffer in silence.
Itās time to change that.
I would like to remind you today: You are not alone. Your feelings are valid and your struggles do not define you. If you are struggling please know that it is okay to ask for help. Seeking support - whether thatās from a friend, family member or a professional - is not a sign of failure; itās an act of courage.
As a community, as a society and as individuals, we must create a culture where mental health is prioritised, where people feel safe to express their emotions, and where no one feels ashamed to seek help. So letās check on each other, and listen without judgement. Your mental health matters! Donāt ever forget that.
So here at Ells Elegant Cupcakes, I would like to thank Forward Thinking on behalf of everyone that they have helped and for all they do.
