A little summer pause... ☀️🥐

After what has been an incredibly busy year, it’s time for our wonderful team to enjoy a well-deserved break.

Our last day of opening will be Saturday 1st August, and we’ll be taking a rest throughout August before reopening on Thursday 3rd September.

Running an independent bakery is a real labour of love, and we’re so grateful for every loaf you’ve bought, every coffee you’ve shared with us, and every time you’ve chosen to support our little business. Your support means more than you know.

We hope you’ll enjoy the rest of your summer, and we can’t wait to welcome you back in September with fresh sourdough, buttery pastries and plenty of exciting bakes.

📢 Temporary Change to Our Opening Days at both Stirchley & Kings Heath

Due to temporary staffing shortages, we will be reducing our opening days for a short period.

From next week (Thursday 2nd July), we will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday only.

This is a temporary change, and we hope to return to our usual Wednesday to Saturday opening as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and continued custom.

We look forward to seeing you Thursday through Saturday! ❤️

Are you an experienced baker with a passion for crafting high-quality bread and pastries? If you have at least 4 years of professional baking experience and are looking for your next opportunity, we want to hear from you!

🔎 Now Hiring:
👨🏻‍🍳 Baker (Full-time & Part-time positions available) 👩🏽‍🍳

📌 Who We’re Looking For:
✅ Minimum 4 years of professional experience in a bakery setting (this is not a trainee or internship position)
✅ Skilled in artisan bread and/or pastry production
✅ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
✅ Must have the right to work in the UK

⏰ Working Hours:
• Full-time: 40 hours per week (Tuesday to Saturday)
• Part-time: 24 hours per week (Thursday to Saturday)

💰 Salary:
• Full-time roles starting from £27,000

We’re honoured to be included in the 2nd Edition of Britain’s Best Bakeries 🫶🏼

Thank you for featuring Levain and Cherry alongside some of our own favourites; what great company to be in!

Just to gently set the record straight: there’s no business partner, just our Brum/Frenchie Pascal since day dot (and... who is Jo? 😂).

And while one site opened in 2020, the second followed in 2025, as our lovely locals already know 😊.

One thing the book gets right for certain though: the white chocolate and pistachio pain au chocolat truly is “a domed work of art”. 😉
