Cakes By M.E. For You I aim to create cakes that will exceed your expectations, bespoke cakes or cupcakes to make your celebration as perfect as possible

All of my cakes are freshly baked to order. I take pride in creating a cake or cupcakes which not only look good they taste good too. All of the cakes and cake decorations displayed on my page have been hand made myself.

Finally posting the last few pictures of my Christmas cakes now they’ve all been collected. All traditional rich brandy soaked fruit cake, baked in September to allow time for the cake to mature and topped up with brandy regularly, topped with marzipan and then soft sugarpaste.

It’s a wrap, that’s this year’s Christmas cakes all done and boxed ready to go. All brandy soaked rich fruit cake, matured for three months whilst having a regular top up of brandy, then covered in marzipan and sugarpaste.
Only a couple of photos until they have all been picked up, my signature white on white trees and stag for me and gingerbread theme for my daughter xx

It’s almost the most wonderful time of year when the kitchen will smell amazing. Meanwhile we have to be a little more patient whilst the fruit is checked through, mixed and soaked with brandy and mixed spice. Why have I never thought of storing in zip loc bags before 🙃🤦🏽‍♀️, much easier to ensure that all those lovely flavours are absorbed by the fruit xx
