Right, this is officially getting weird 😂

Yesterday I found THREE bank cards on the bridge. Miraculously, the owner was found and reunited with his cards. Happy ending 💳🙌

Today on my morning jaunt to work in the drizzle, I’ve only gone and found ANOTHER ONE🤦‍♀️

This one belongs to Mr Ryan Pask.

Same drill as yesterday: bring some ID down to claim it if it’s yours. I promise I’m not running a very niche lost-property service… although apparently I should be😏

At this rate, I’m going to start charging a retrieval fee 💷😂

She’s had the absolute pleasure of spending her birthday in the kitchen with me, perfecting her brownie-baking skills…living the dream, obviously!

What an absolute legend she is though ❤️ Couldn’t do half the madness without you, Squeals!

Yesterday the shop was SLOW. Like… so so slow!!

The ladies genuinely wondered if they’d actually unlocked the door and opened the shop. At one point they were convinced the entire town had been evacuated and nobody had told them 👀

Then today… you lot magically reappeared 😮‍💨

So naturally, we celebrated with a little slow-mo cheese action🧀🤩

A glorious meatball marinara sub. An absolutely filthy cheese pour. My smug little grin says it all.

And honestly… Careless Whisper was the ONLY appropriate soundtrack for this level of saucy behaviour🎷

Monday aka Admin Day 💻☕️

Which basically means I get to stay in my dressing gown, be wildly productive… and watch Game of Thrones at the same time 👑🐉

Just look at that smug wee face. I clearly have my life together 💁‍♀️

In amongst the riveting world of emails, spreadsheets, payroll and other admin nonsense, I’m actually doing something VERY exciting…

I’m planning a menu for an event we’ve been given the absolute honour of catering for - none other than Sir Kevin Sinfield and his VIP guests 🏉

Yes. That Kevin Sinfield. Rugby legend. Fundraising superhero. All-round bloody good human 🥇

It’s Monday…and I’m just casually planning food for a man who has raised millions, conquered ridiculous challenges and is generally a national treasure… while I sit here in my dressing gown eating snacks and watching Westeros burn.

Right, better make this menu bloody brilliant.

Leeds Festival: 1. Staff member: 0 😂

One of our lovely staff members returned home after being absolutely defeated by Leed’s Festival. Five days of a wet, soggy tent had taken its toll, and quite frankly, there was absolutely NO chance she was leaving the warmth of her bed 😭😂

After such trauma, there was only one thing that could possibly aid her recovery…

COMFORT FOOD 🍔🍟

So she ordered herself some well-deserved grub via Uber Eats.

Now, whilst packing the order, we realised we were a little short-staffed… 👀

So what did we do?

We put a cheeky little message INSIDE her food order asking if she fancied coming in to work a shift 🫣

Because apparently, even when you’re ordering comfort food after five days of festival suffering, you’re never truly safe from your employer 😂

Two birds, one stone 🐦🐦

Food delivered. Staffing crisis potentially solved.
Absolutely ruthless on my part 😂

And whilst we’re shamelessly plugging ourselves…

Squeals - the woman I’ve known since she was knee-high to a grasshopper (and quite frankly, she’s been bossing me around since day 1 😂)

Over the last year, my little Squeals has been learning the ropes, perfecting our recipes, getting stuck in and generally making herself irreplaceable in the kitchen👩‍🍳🧁

But NOW… she’s only gone and cooked up something entirely of her own! 😍

Forget brownies, cupcakes and cookies…

WE’RE HAVING OUR VERY FIRST BAKERY BABY! 👶🏼❤️

We are absolutely OVER THE MOON for our Squeals and her gorgeous man Keenan. What a beautiful, exciting but slightly terrifying little adventure you’ve got ahead of you!

We cannot WAIT to meet the wee nipper, give them a ridiculous amount of cuddles and definitely spoil them rotten 🥰

Honestly?
I respect it.
As a person who believes cheese belongs in every single meal, I cannot judge. In fact, I’m proud of you 😂

Anyway, back to the kitchen I go👩‍🍳

We’re OPEN TOMORROW from 8am - with more cupcakes, more chicken tikka, more cheese-based chaos and, hopefully, enough food to keep you lot under control.

🍗 HOMEMADE CHICKEN TIKKA LOADED CHIPS
A proper filthy mountain of crispy chips, homemade chicken tikka and all the good stuff. The sort of portion that makes you say “I’ll only eat half” before absolutely battering the lot and pretending you’ve got no idea where it went.

🌯 SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN WRAP
Crispy chicken, wrapped up snug and ready to be PIMPED WITH YOUR CHOICE OF SAUCE.
Go spicy. Go saucy. Go absolutely feral.

🥩 MEATBALL MARINARA SUB
Big juicy meatballs. Rich marinara. An indecent amount of ooey, gooey cheddar.

And this one, my loves, is MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ❤️

As you can probably tell from the absolutely lovesick look I’m giving my lunch in this photo. 😂

Honestly, I’d marry this sandwich if I could.

It’s messy. It’s cheesy. It’s saucy. It’s everything a good relationship should be, without the arguments about whose turn it is to put the bins out.
