Not only did we drop the Crispy Chicken Sandwich today… we added a little something extra to two of our favourites 👀🔥

Our British Butty and The Mike — both loaded with egg, cheese - each has either bacon or sausage — can now get an upgrade:

🥔 ADD A HASH BROWN INSIDE.

Crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle, stuffed straight into your breakfast sandwich.

Sometimes more is more. 😏

Everyone - as you know, we love bagels! And Berkhamsted has showed us they love bagels too!

But I also have another sneaky love - I love Mexican food. Growing up in America and more so living in Southern California for many year - I can’t get enough of it. So we’ve always had it in the back of our mind to someday figure out a way to do a pop-up Mexican here — and now we have succeeded.

We will be doing our first annual Mexican pop-up Friday, June 19 from 6 to 9 PM. No tickets required. Kid friendly. Just like normal.

Hey everyone — just a few updates from M Street Bagels as we close in on our first year open.

First of all, thank you so much for the incredible support from the community. It truly means a lot to us. We hope we’re providing more than just food — we hope we’re offering good service, a welcoming environment, and a place where you always feel comfortable stopping by. Your support and presence never go unnoticed.

A few quick things:

1. We do takeaway!
For those who may not know, we do a lot of takeaway orders. We’re still often asked if we offer it, so just a reminder — yes, absolutely. We’ve even updated the window signs to make it clearer. While we do have tables if you’d like to sit in, takeaway is a big part of what we do.

You can also order online at mstreetbagels.co.uk for easy collection, and we’re now available on Deliveroo as well.

2. Space rentals / birthday parties
Yes — we host birthday parties and private space rentals. Sundays tend to work best, where we may close a little earlier (around 2pm instead of 3pm) to accommodate events.

Our party slots are usually between 3pm–5pm. We provide the space, and many families simply grab bubble teas for the kids while bringing in outside food. Pizza is usually the most popular and economical option.

3. Other events coming up
We’ll also be hosting a Paint & Sip event with Mindful Art in May, which we’re excited about.

We’ve also been asked about hosting other kinds of events — and the answer is yes, we’re always happy to listen to ideas and see what could work.

🥯 WE’RE HIRING! FRONT OF HOUSE / BARISTA ☕

M Street Bagels is looking for a front-of-house legend — someone with great energy, solid café experience, and a genuine love of bagels (this part matters).

This is a people-first role. If you’re friendly, confident, and like staying busy rather than standing around, you’ll feel right at home.

You are:
• Experienced in a café or coffee shop (strong barista skills required)
• Great with customers and happy having a chat
• Quick on your feet and organised when it gets hectic
• Reliable, positive, and a proper team player
• Available to work weekends — most shifts run Thursday–Sunday
(Bonus: we don’t work late!)

You’ll be doing things like:
• Making great coffee, consistently
• Looking after customers and keeping the vibe warm and welcoming
• Keeping the front clean, stocked, and running smoothly
• Helping run food during busy rushes
• Jumping in on dishes when needed (team effort!)

• Flexible hours — we genuinely try to work around your schedule
