🍁 Wreath Making Workshop 🍁

We are very excited to host this wonderful & creative workshop in which our member will help you to create your own beautiful, natural wreath which will be perfect for this autumnal season.

The Autumn Wreath for 2023, will be created using all the rich, glorious colours and textures of this wonderful season.
🧡
This natural wreath will be created on a straw base, which can be used for future creations. We’ll use seasonal greenery, including eucalyptus which will dry beautifully over the coming weeks, preserved leaves in wonderful autumnal shades, together with a selection of dried flowers and seed heads.

This wreath can be hung indoors or outdoors, but does benefit from being protected by a porch!

It’s a fun, informal workshop and no experience is necessary. Come alone or why not bring a friend or family?

This Mother’s Day, The Zebra Riding Club] - the flagship restaurant at Hertfordshire’s - is celebrating the day with a delicious food offering.

Robin Gill and Ben Rand – renowned chefs and great friends from the Dairy Group, have curated a special farm-to-fork Mothering Sunday menu in the form of a roast utilising the abundance of fresh produce grown at the Birch Community Farm, along with the surrounding woodlands - all cooked over open fires.

Priced at £52pp, with an additional £40pp for a meticulously composed wine pairing experience, Zebra Riding Club’s Mothering Sunday Roasts keep seasonal, fresh produce at their heart.

Guests can expect a selection of sharing plates to start, including whipped cod's roe with breakfast radishes, Pommes Dauphin with preserved lemon aioli and pink radicchio with Marmite glazed duck hearts and black garlic. Hearty mains are the star of the show, with diners choosing from roast Swaldedale lamb with wild garlic and braised onions, roast Chalk stream trout with trout roe, and lemon butter sauce and Westcombe ricotta dumplings with romesco and hazelnut pesto, amongst other options, all served with Jersey Royal potatoes in a seaweed dressing and grilled early Spring vegetables. For dessert, a selection of local cheeses are offered, alongside an enveloping yet enlightening créme fraiche tart with Yorkshire rhubarb.

✨SPRING WREATH WORKSHOP✨

We are very excited to host this wonderful & creative workshop in which our member will show you how to create your own beautiful Spring wreath at the in their beautiful Garden Room.

The gorgeous spring wreath is built on a moss frame where you will be able to add spring bulbs, fresh flowers, mixed greenery including olive and pittosporum and twisted willow to add another layer of interest and texture.

This wreath is created in a different way to the Christmas wreath, so there’s something new to learn!

Join us for an evening of fun and creativity! Your ticket will include your beautifully created wreath, a glass of fizz and snacks!.

Livi wanted to showcase showcase Yvette's lovely shop in Potten End. The shop has just had a bit of makeover and it’s looking great! Potten End is such a beautiful village and the views from the shop are pretty idyllic.

She also wanted to show that Yvette and Tony are what make the business so special. They make all of their delicious products by hand and its their care, expertise and attention to detail that make their chocolates such wonderful artisan products.

✨ The Spotted Dog ✨

has a long history. It was originally built as a house in the 1700's and converted into a pub in 1826 (one of eight pubs in Flamstead at that time). Fast forward almost 200 years and over thirty landlords later, it still retains the same name today.

The pub has recently been carefully restored by a small group of lovely locals who simply wanted to see their village pub back open so they could enjoy a drink and have some good old-fashioned banter!

The re-vamp has resulted in a rustic and cosy environment where you can still see original features such as exposed bricks, wooden beams with added touches such as local church pews, a gorgeous event space/dining room and outside undercover area.

Mark Jarvis Exec Chef from London and protégé Murry Lane as Head Chef, General Manager Garry Lewis and his team, are delighted to offer local beers, excellent wines and outstanding food whilst enjoying the cosy surrounds of a local village pub.

Dogs are more than welcome in the bar area with water bowls and biscuit treats available.
