For Sale - 12 inch diameter glazed milk white cake plate display stand from Mosser Glass - £39 - pm your interest 😊

A beautiful and sturdy stand for wedding cakes!! Some info below 👇

* made by hand by Mosser Glass in Cambridge, Ohio - as they have been since 1954
* genuine milk glass with a lovely burnished finish - there are many copies available but Mosser Glass are considered the originals and must be the best you'll find anywhere
* perfect for wedding and celebration cakes, cupcakes, desserts, afternoon tea, table centrepieces and entertaining
* Mosser milk glass cake stands are created by craftsmen and women using valuable old moulds, which leave a seam running down the pedestal - this is a sign of genuine moulded glass not found on cheap copies
* as featured in The Great British Bake Off and used by top cake makers
* they're not cheap - they can't be, as each stand undergoes a 6 stage manufacturing and glazing process, taking over 3 hours to produce just one piece - plus just getting them here from the USA isn't exactly cheap!
* colour is achieved using Erbium Oxide - a restricted and very expensive compound which gives milk glass its unique characteristics
* lipped plate edge should hold a 12 inch cake, pie or cake board but we've found that the hand-made nature of the stands, the variation in cake board sizes and the surprising fact that American inches are slightly different to Imperial inches mean they don't always fit, so you may be safer using an 11 inch cake drum
* approx 9¼" / 23cm / 230mm high
* pedestal base approx 6¾" / 17cm / 170mm diameter

My crystal cake stand set up at Leighinmohr house hotel on Friday, the lovely Maxine chose this cake to fit in with her wedding theme and it definitely fitted perfectly. I believe she’s still eating cake today, im assured it still tastes amazing 😊 Congrats to the happy couple.

What can I say about Lauren and Geoff, such a beautiful couple inside and out. I got to really know them as we planned their cake and cupcakes for their ‘at home’ wedding.
