This Saturday, 27th June, I'll be attending my very first market as Mellie Makes & Bakes and I'm equal parts excited and nervous! 🧁💕
You'll find me at The Black Mountain Market from 12pm - 5pm, with lots of sweet treats, baked goodies and plenty of delicious bakes to choose from. 🍪🧁🍰

These personalised cupcakes deserve a post all of their own 💙✨
When I was asked if I could turn a child's precious drawings into edible cupcake toppers for Father's Day, I couldn't wait to bring the idea to life. Seeing those little masterpieces transformed into something Dad could enjoy made this box extra special. 🧁🎨
From handwritten messages to colourful family portraits, every topper tells a story and captures memories that will be treasured long after the cupcakes are gone. It's these unique, heartfelt orders that remind me why I love what I do. 💕

One of the things I rarely get to see as a baker is the inside of my cakes! 🥹🎂
Most of my creations leave the kitchen looking pretty on the outside and I never get to witness that magical first slice moment... so when I do get a peek at the cross section, it's always a little bit exciting! ✨

After an unexpected hospital trip with the birthday girl this week, I wasn't sure I'd pull it off, but I'm pretty proud of how she turned out. 🩷🍒
