I absolutely love being a small part in peoples celebrations.

I feel so privileged to be asked to make cakes for my customers , marking special moments in their lives.

I recently had a customers say every celebration they have needs to have a little birdhouse bakes cake, you have no idea how that makes me feel.

Diary open and taking orders for celebration cakes for July , August and September 2026

Aw what a sensational cake you made for us. It’s beautiful outside and in snd my daughter was over the moon to see it. Thank you again and definitely be back to order again from you.

Here’s exactly what I mean.

If you’re looking for a cake on a Saturday. I bake on a thursday , decorate in a Friday, and any last minute decorations on the Saturday, ready for collection or delivery.

This is something that I am passionate about that everything that leaves the kitchen is freshly baked, and never frozen ,you can taste the difference in every bite.
It also gives you the option if any cake is left you can freeze it and get to enjoy it another time and remember your celebration.

Your in charge of the social media

I thought this phone holder for round my neck was going to change my life !

I was so proud of myself doing this timelapse video to show how you would add texture to a cake using different palette knifes.

As you can see it did not go to plan. I started this business just to make cakes and treats not be in charge of social media !

Thought it was worth a watch 😂 as I was so proud to do the video.

It’s always the little things

As a bespoke celebration cake maker, some of the little things I notice about every celebration.

Matching the cake to the colour scheme of the celebration or the persons favourite colour.

Personalised topper including name or age, this is lovely to keep if it’s a special celebration.

Adding a hobby or a charm that means something.

Adding fresh flowers to a cake on the day of the celebration, so they look their best.

Nice moist sponge with fillings that complement and are not over powering.

Even layers and sharp edges.

Behind the scenes

This is just a little behind the scenes of me making strawberry tarts which will feature in my next pay day treat box, available to pre order for the 1st may … only 9 boxes left to pre order.

When i set up my baking business never did I imagine I would need to wear so many hats.

I know I need to start posting more behind the scenes, but when I look at everyone’s polished videos it just puts me off as I know mines are not perfect, and makes me feel like a failure.But moving forward i’m just going to be taking you along and not over think it.

I am so grateful to everyone who supports my business from ordering , referrals, or just sharing my posts means the world.

It’s never just cake, it’s never just a wee biscuit.

Its a well done to yourself or someone else, its a minute to relax after a busy month, its dropping a box into your colleague because you know they need it..
