CLOSING (queue the duff duffs…..!)

After 11.5 years, I’m closing the books. After so much thought and consideration, the time has come. The caking world was never on my agenda when I was growing up/ teenager. It kind of fell into my lap after I had my first child. It was simply a case of, “when she starts school in 5 years, what am I going to do about school holidays and work…” Which is when Kelly’s Little Cakery was born.

I have successfully (yes blowing my own trumpet 🎺) built it up over the years, through literal blood (5* hygiene always! 😉), sweat and tears - and ironically it is now exactly where I always wanted it to be. Daily wedding enquiries, being fully booked for weeks on end, cakes for TV shows even. But my heart has always been elsewhere. Cakes served a purpose whilst my children needed me at home. Now it’s time to start my life again, re-gain myself and follow what I want to do. (This is NOT meant to be sounding cheesy, but it is all true!) 🧀

I would like to thank each and every one of you that have liked, commented, shared and ordered from me over the years. I couldn’t have accomplished what I have without you all. It certainly is the end of an era.

I have contacted all my customers that I have had to unfortunately cancel and 99% wished me all the best for the future.
I fully appreciate that it isn’t ideal having your order being cancelled. I never would’ve taken the orders on if I knew what could have been round the corner. 😘

A lot of you don’t know, but I have been studying a part time uni degree alongside working full time. This was to enable a future career change down the line but an opportunity has come now and I have to take it!

This has been an incredible journey and now I’m SUPER excited about my next one. I know that I’ll end up dipping in and out of the cakey world for those super special requests down the line but for the foreseeable, that’s me. 💕

All January orders will go ahead as planned so don’t worry. From February, that’s it. 🤪 If there’s enough call for it, I’ll do a raffle during January for that last opportunity to get some cake! What do you reckon??

My very first carousel cake! And I was chuffed with it!

This was a very close replica to Little Pickers Cakes (customers request) carousel cake from a few years ago!

To celebrate a first birthday last weekend. Those horses were giving me palpitations on delivery! 🤪🫣 Yes they were sugar!

A very autumnal wedding cake for a couple weeks ago! Cascade of naturally falling leaves, tiny pumpkins, pinecones and a hidden mouse.
