🐝🐝🐝 Today I noticed a bee had been stuck on one of my flowers for quite a while. So I looked up advice on what to do.

I went inside to make a 50/50 mix of granulated sugar and water on a teaspoon then went back in the garden expecting the bee 🐝 to have flown off, but she was still there looking very inactive, not a busy bee at all.

With teaspoon in one hand and phone in the other I gently moved the spoon towards the bee my heart beat elevated as I was not looking to be stung simply see if the sugar solution would work.
And it did!

She drank and then happily started buzzing and flew off.

It made me remember that life gives you a lift as you lift others.

Yes, I make my award winning Christmas Cake, 🧑‍🎄🌲🌟😇 all year round. This gives each one time to mature and take on the wonderful flavours of the fruit and brandy. Cooking on a low setting for several hours, in a baking paper sealed pan, to keep the moisture in, these cakes are wonderfully traditional and smell divine. 🧡 🥮.
