An update on the Jurassic coast walk
I would love to say it was easy.
I would love to say it was enjoyable.
I would love to say it's the best thing I've ever done.
But then I'd be lying.
It was tough, it was brutal, it broke me both mentally and physically. It was definitely the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, I'm just glad I had my friend Sam with me throughout.
The atmosphere and people doing the challenge was great but if I see another hill anytime soon it'll be too soon.
I managed to make it to 82km but I unfortunately had to pull out on medical grounds. My feet are destroyed, there are blisters on blisters, my knees couldn't take another hill or fence stile. Sitting halfway up a very steep hill as the sun was setting on day one whilst eating a satsuma and a packet of Frazzles to give me strength to get to the top I thought this was it, but I managed to dig deep and find some inner strength to keep going for another 40kms.
Although I'm disappointed not to have completed all 100km, I know that my family, friends and my 2 favourite little people are very proud of me and what I have achieved over this last weekend.
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for everyone's donations and messages of support, you've helped me get through this weekend and I'm very grateful to you all.
Now hopefully we can get Malita her wheels and she can do the walk next year 😉
Anyone that wishes to donate I will put the link in the comments.
