Lovely friends, followers, customers… we need your help and have a favour to ask 🙏😘
We are reintroducing gf offerings and would love this side of the business to grow 🥰 the demand is there but only if those who need it know about it!
Since bringing back the good stuff, the feedback has been phenomenal 🤩
So please please spread the word to your gluten free friends 😍 word of mouth, recommendations, tagging and sharing all help to get the word out.
Gluten intolerance and coeliacs are very different things, so here’s a bit of info on our processes, knowledge and experience in this area.
As well as the necessary allergen training needed when starting a business up, I’m an ex allergy-mum. One of my daughters had dairy, egg and soya allergies when she was young and another is in the process of being diagnosed with coeliacs. I’ve been in the food industry for 25 years and a qualified chef so have a strong background.
As I work out if my home kitchen it is not a dedicated nor certified gluten free zone so I don’t use the official “gluten free” handle, but like cafes and restaurants I can use the term “gf”. I have been making gf treats for years for private orders as well as on my market stalls. I even had tests done on them by the council which resulted in zero gluten detected! 🤩
All my gf baking is done on separate days and times to the rest of my products. The kitchen is thoroughly cleaned, all utensils etc re washed before I start, ingredients checked and all gf products safely boxed away before I even think about anything else. On my stall I have separate tongs and trays. I’m always looking at what else I can do to ensure safety, thankfully the local authority has reassured me I’m doing everything I possibly can which is a huge relief as customer safety is my highest priority.
Everyone should be able to eat cake, and cross contamination is no joke for many. I’m 100% confident that anything produced in my kitchen is safer than a cafe/restaurant as I have a greater control of risks being the only one in there and not under the pressures found in a fast paced establishment. I’ve worked in many so I know!
So please spread the word to your gluten free friends and family! I would really love this to be a success. And for my existing gluten free customers, if there is ever anything you would like me to make, please ask! Crumpets and bread are top of my list!
