I am incredibly proud of my children and their Easter trail and we are very happy that others enjoyed it. We are sorry if anyone visited today and was disappointed not to find the Gonks but we aren't going to dwell on it - wherever they are we hope they are appreciated! From their cake profits, my children are going to make a donation to Blood Cancer UK, a charity who fund research specifically for blood cancers which is something that is significant to us as a family, so a big thank you to everyone who supported them by visiting their Cake Cupboard this weekend! Now it's time for them to clock off and enjoy the Easter holidays 😀

My children have had lots of fun creating their little Easter trail but today is the last day for finding eggs in the wood. The Easter Bunny Gonks will stay in the wood tomorrow for anyone who wants to find them. The Cake Cupboard is open but the oven is definitely off for the weekend now so we will close today once the cake has gone! Happy Easter 🙂

It is almost the school Easter holidays and, once our little April Fool has celebrated her 11th birthday, the girls will be reopening their Cake Cupboard! Over the Easter weekend, they will also be hiding free chocolate eggs in Sowerby Wood for anyone who wants to have an egg hunt - hopefully a little fun for others to enjoy. Wow, what a weekend! I had two very happy girls at bedtime tonight. They worked their socks off to make their lockdown dream a reality but most importantly they had a lot of fun which was primarily what the Cake Cupboard was all about! We were overwhelmed by everyone's support, which completely surpassed our expectations and took us by surprise - what a fabulous bunch you are! But our wonderful children will return to school tomorrow and the reality is they cannot sustain the Cake Cupboard demand every weekend - weekends are for family time and that is far too precious to lose to cake! So, the girls have decided to open their Cake Cupboard on a 'pop-up' basis to allow for a healthy school/work life balance. They will update with opening times once they have settled back into school. Thank you again for supporting them 🙂

Thank you to everyone who visited the Case Kids' Cake Cupboard this weekend. These two industrious little ladies have loved baking for you and are very grateful that you supported them! We weren't sure what we were letting ourselves in for when we agreed to let them do this but the girls have definitely learned far more than we ever imagined from up-cycling diy, to quantity ratio calculations and lots of product selection, ingredient costings and of course baking in between! What a perfect end to having them at home - we are very proud of them 😍 Now it's time to get ready for school!
