🌟 Welcome to Barrhead, Twelve01 Events! 🌟

Did you know that one of Barrhead's town centre buildings has quietly undergone a major transformation over the past 18 months?

The Westbourne Centre on Kelburn Street has seen significant investment and refurbishment, with a large unit being renovated and converted into a number of modern business spaces. As a result, several new businesses have chosen to make Barrhead their home, bringing fresh ideas, new services and local jobs to the town.
One of the latest businesses to join the growing community at the Westbourne Centre is Twelve01 Events.

Founded by Gayle and Kevin, Twelve01 Events specialises in event management, graphic design, branding and sports event presentation. Between them, they have more than 15 years' experience working on some of the world's biggest sporting events, including Formula 1, the Olympics, the Commonwealth Games and the FIFA World Cup.

It's not just sport either. The team also works with businesses on branding, signage, vehicle graphics, office fit-outs and creative design projects, helping organisations stand out and make a lasting impression.

It's fantastic to see more businesses choosing Barrhead as a base and making use of the improved facilities at the Westbourne Centre. These investments help strengthen our town centre, support local employment and create new opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Since opening in 2010, Giftscene has been one of those familiar sight on Barrhead Main Street, with years of support from local customers helping make it a favourite for so many.

Nice to see independent businesses continuing to be at the heart of the high street 💜

Central Cafe has been part of Barrhead life since 1968, with Riccardo continuing the legacy started by his father Antonio after moving to Scotland from Italy in the late 1950s.

From the classic shop front to the traditional sweet shop feel and Italian ice cream with its secret family recipe, it’s one of those local places that many people in Barrhead have grown up with.

We know so many of you have incredible memories of Central Cafe but this do you have any photos to share of it? Maybe an old photo of the outside from the 70s or your favourite memory from childhood trips here! ✨
