Hi everyone,

I’ve been keeping a close eye on the weather forecast for tomorrow afternoon, and unfortunately it’s currently looking like rain for the whole time I was planning to be set up at Phoenix Park 🌧️☔

I’m absolutely gutted, but unfortunately I can’t safely set up in the rain as the generator can’t get wet and the hatch isn’t fully watertight 💔

So sadly, I’ve had to make the decision not to attend tomorrow.

However… I don’t want the rain to completely ruin your chance of grabbing some treats 😋

If I bake some goodies, would anyone be interested in collecting treat boxes from my home instead?

I’ll only bake if there’s enough interest, so I don’t end up with lots left over.

Next Sunday

Coming up on Sunday 14 June, Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club is bringing its car show to Locke Park. 11am until 4pm. Public car parking from the normal car park in Keresforth Hall Road at S70 6NF. Or come on foot from Park Road, buses 22A and 22C.

I’ve made some good old-fashioned jam & coconut cake for Goldthorpe Development Group. For you all to enjoy — and some without coconut too, for those who aren’t a fan.

Unfortunately waves has been cancelled.

If anyone knows of any other events taking place 4th July. That require either cakes, coffee or booze let me know 🙏🏻🙏🏻

We’re so sorry to share this update…
Due to lower-than-expected ticket sales, we’ve made the very difficult decision to cancel this year’s Waves Music Festival, which was due to take place on Saturday 4th July.
As this was our third year running the event, this isn’t a decision we’ve taken lightly. We’ve been genuinely surprised that ticket sales haven’t matched previous years, and we can only put this down to the current economic climate.
We know this will be disappointing news, and we’re incredibly sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Everyone who has booked should have now received an email. All ticket holders will receive a full refund, which will be processed within the next 5 working days.

Sharing on behalf of SYFR
As a school, we have already explored water safety in depth during the past term as part of our curriculum. This has included sessions in school, visits from external professionals, and opportunities for some of our children to attend water safety activities at Manvers Lake, delivered by SYFR.
In light of the deeply saddening news over the past week, we will continue to support and educate our children through our PSHE sessions, ensuring they understand how to stay safe and build awareness in a sensitive and age-appropriate way.
