A true labour of love ❤️ .

My beautiful friend Katie and her husband James got married in thr pandemic and we all finally came together last weekend for "The Wedding"!

Navy geode cake with grey marble (to match the bridesmaid dresses). Slab cakes in matching fondant in carrot, Victoria sponge, lemon and chocolate cake!

Not a crumb was left 💕.

I've never painted a cake before so this was certainly a trial by fire but I'm so please with how it turned out!

This year's Christmas cakes have all been a bit of something different!

1 - our cake at home, my husbands idea after seeing the glacé fruits I made for another cake. He dubbed this the "BlackHole" cake!

2 - "My dad doesn't like marzipan and fondant so can we just have a bit on top?

3 - "I don't like icing can I just have extra marzipan?"

4 - "uniced for me please!"

And all my classic iced in the family photo at the end!
