Today is the first day of Baby Loss Awareness Week 2025, a subject incredibly close to my heart. This week is about lifting the taboo around talking about baby loss, something that affects so many people, either through experiencing it or knowing someone that has, staggeringly 50% of people are affected, yet there is still that stigma surrounding this subject. I know all too well that people feel it is difficult to know what to say, but in all honesty there is no right or wrong thing to say. I love to talk about my son, he is part of me and part of my family and always will be. Granted, some days are harder than others, but to have my son acknowledged and remembered means more to me than you will ever know. Let’s remember those little ones that sadly are no longer with us and celebrate them. It can be a strange place, I have stories and memories that make me smile and laugh, strange as that may seem, but my heart lights up when my son is remembered by others and that gives me strength to get through the sad days. So this week more than ever, don’t be afraid to ask the questions, share stories, wear a pink and blue ribbon, ask about my beautiful boy Aaron, be there for those you know have experienced this and remember those babies, say their names. My son is Aaron 💙
