We now have everything for sale! This isn’t including furniture and a few kitchen bits. Open ALL DAY tomorrow (Wednesday) until 7pm if you would like to come and have a mooch. We also have some silver cake display trays and some brownie pans, also almost 100 mismatched cups and saucers.

There is also some photography equipment. Some backgrounds and some lights, a light box etc.

And that’s a wrap! Tessie’s Cafe is now closed.

Thank you to everyone that came to see us this weekend, and to everyone that has ever visited us in the three and a half years we’ve occupied 59 Parsons Street!

We’ll be having a couple more sales this week, as we can now let everything go. Kitchen equipment, furniture, plates, utensils, decor etc etc. Details to follow.

You’ll be able to get your fix of cakes from us at Banbury Market, on the first Saturday of each month, and from Deddington Market, the fourth Saturday of each month.

Thank you all again. We couldn’t have done it without your support. And thank you for all the lovely comments on last night’s post. They all mean so very much to us ❤️

Remembering when we opened the cafe back in April 2023. Well, tomorrow (Sunday) is going to be our very last day. I don’t know how to feel about it really. It’s been a tough few years, with lots of worry, but also lots of laughter and lovely warm, meaningful moments with customers and staff.

Today was super busy. We almost sold out of cake and had to restock! I’ve never been given so many hugs in one day! Thank you so much to everyone that came in today, and thank you for all the cards. It’s been very emotional for me.

We have plenty of cakes and the fridge is full of stock for hot food, too. We really hope for a bumper day tomorrow, so we go out with a bang!

Thank you all again. If you see me with tears in my eyes tomorrow it will be because I’m happy. Just because it ended doesn’t mean it was a failure, does it ❤️

This weekend sees our final 2 days in the shop ☹️ but Lisa has put a special gloss on the caramel crunch to celebrate 🥳

We’re open as usual from 9.30-5.00 for breakfasts and sausage & bacon sarnies courtesy of Hook Norton Butchers 😋 ham, egg and chips & this weekends soup is chunky vegetable 🥔🥕🧅

You can also catch Paul at Deddington Farmers' Market from 9.00-12.30 for their 25th birthday 🎂 and he’s bringing cake!

A few things for sale….

28 cafe chairs. All in excellent condition. £20 each. Ideally we would like to sell these as a job lot!

Also, we have 6 x cafe / pub tables for sale at £60 each. These were bought from Pubstuff back in 2023 and have always been covered, so no scuffs or scratches.
