If you're coming to the Millbrook on 15th Aug send a picture and a wee bit of a story to us so we can share it on the Millbrook Classic, Steam & Speed Fair page.

πŸš— Could YOUR Car Be Our Next Featured Vehicle? πŸš—

One of the best parts of the Millbrook Classic, Steam & Speed Fair is meeting the people behind the incredible vehicles on display.

Every classic has a story...
❀️ A first car lovingly restored.
πŸ”§ A project completed after years of hard work.
πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ A cherished family heirloom.
🏁 A competition car with a fascinating history.

Over the next two weeks, we'd love to feature as many of this year's entries as possible on our page.

πŸ“Έ If you're bringing a vehicle to the event, send us:
βœ… A good photo of your vehicle
βœ… A few details about it
βœ… The story behind it – how you found it, restored it, or why it's so special to you.

We'll be sharing your stories in the run-up to the event, giving everyone a sneak peek at some of the fantastic vehicles they'll see on Saturday 15th August.

No story is too small – sometimes it's the personal connection that makes a vehicle truly memorable.

πŸ“© Send us your photos and story by Facebook Messenger or email them to [email protected].

We can't wait to showcase your pride and joy!

πŸš— Who'll be our next featured vehicle? It could be yours!

🏁 A Message of Thanks 🏁

On behalf of Ballynahinch & District Motor Club, I’d like to say a few heartfelt words of thanks following the Carryduff Forklift Rallye Lecale.

The dust is beginning to settle on our first solo closed-road event, and I think we are only now realising what we managed to achieve β€” with the help of so many people.

πŸ™ At the risk of leaving anyone out β€” and with sincere apologies if we do β€” we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible.

🏑 Firstly, thank you to all the residents along the route. Many are not motorsport fans, and we are extremely grateful for their patience and understanding while their normally quiet roads were disrupted for the event.

🦺 Thank you to our volunteers, including Club members and marshals, and to the many specialists we rely on: rescue, medical, communications, timing and timekeeping, car tracking, results, Special Stage managers, Stage Commanders and their teams, Traffic Management by Premier, and the Ulster Rally team in Rally Control. We wish them all the best for their upcoming event.

πŸ‘ A special mention must go to our Special Stage managers, particularly for the days spent making house calls to every home on the route and for liaising with residents on the day.

πŸš— Our Thursday evening Autotest team also deserves thanks, with support from our own members and several other local motor clubs. It was great to see it so well supported.

🀝 Thanks also to the statutory agencies and local government bodies who supported the event, including the Department for Infrastructure, PSNI, NIAS, NIFRS, and Newry, Mourne & Down District Council officials across various departments.

⭐ We are also very grateful to our sponsors and supporters in kind, including Carryduff Forklift, Newry, Mourne & Down District Council, our stage sponsors, programme advertisers, Downpatrick Racecourse, SERC, Saint Patrick Centre, and our two championship sponsors, Brown & Brown and Trailertek.

πŸ† And, after all that work to put the event in place, thank you to our competitors β€” some of whom travelled from far and wide. The final tally included entries from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France, Australia, and of course many from Northern Ireland.

πŸ“Έ Thank you also to our media teams, including Janice McDonald, the NMDDC marketing team, the NI Rally Championship Media team, and onthepacenote.ie for the live feed from stage ends to the start ramp screen.
