12 years of self employment and running a business with your partner and we’re still smiling! Our amazing community and our team of absolute superstars make it all worthwhile and fun. It’s tough but we love it! Lots happening-it’s Sourdough September, we’ve new classes up on the bakery school website, a few secret events planned and some other big news on the horizon. But mostly remember all parents get a free oatie biscuit just for being awesome and getting the darlings back to nursery/school/uni x

It’s the Lammas fair. 🎉 We are open until 4pm servings flat breads out the front of the bakery as well as plenty of pastries, loaves, pizza slices and teas and coffee inside

It’s the Lammas Fair weekend in Ballycastle. Beautiful full window of sourdough. We got pizza tomorrow and are OPEN on Monday serving flat breads out the front and pastries and sandwiches inside. Then will be CLOSED from TUESDAY, reopening on FRIDAY for one last summer weekend

Last of the summer pizza 🍕 this Sunday we’re setting up for the last Lifer of the summer. We’ve had a great summer serving pizza at the courtyard of yarn_ballycastle and looking forward to doing it this Sunday to kick off the Olde Lammas Fair. We’ll be open from 4pm for preorders. Our Lammas Loaf - as part our our Lúnasa celebrations on Saturday we wanted to make a Lammas loaf, a loaf made with the first harvest of the new year. Unfortunately our party was about a week or two too early for our Irish climate but our friends over in Gilchesters Organics Flour had thankfully harvested the week prior. This delicious loaf was shared with all at the party, invited to smell and taste this beautiful bread.
The purpose of the Lammas Loaf and our Lúnasa party was to celebrate the hard work of the farmers and toast to the new harvest. If this is what 2026s harvest tastes like, we are very excited to get more of the new grain into the bakery in the next coming months.

Lifer pizza is back this Saturday. Our last Saturday for a couple of weeks. We’ll be back outside yarn_ballycastle from 5pm with our sourdough, wood fired pizza. Drop us a DM to preorder
