Excited to share that Narture has won the 'Innovation in Place Award' at the Scotland's Towns - Scotland Loves Local Awards! 🎉

Ayr was recently labelled the ‘empty shop capital of Scotland’, and there’s so much negative conversation online about the town, so it’s really rewarding to have some positive news.

We’re proud of what we’ve built together with our co-workers, artists, volunteers and community, transforming underused spaces through food, art and creativity.

A big thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey so far.

What is RISO printing?
Risograph printing was developed in Japan in the 1980s as a high-speed copying system. It works similarly to screen printing and uses plant-based masters made from banana fibers and bright eco-friendly soy inks. The process is known for its bold colours, textured, and layer alignment variations that make every print unique, you never quite know what you will get!

The Artist and Bread
With Velvet Zoé Ramos

“The bread that taught me to work, to create, to wait, to rise, to multiply, to disappear.”

Join interdisciplinary artist Velvet Zoé Ramos for an evening of bread, art and conversation. Through a presentation of her practice, she will share how bread has become both a material and a symbol of survival, spirituality and human consumption, while remaining, by its very nature, ephemeral.

We’ll begin around a shared bread table! Bring along your favourite cheese or spread to enjoy together before the artist talk. The bread will be waiting!
