OBSESSED LIVE with

Spent yesterday in Edinburgh at BaxterStorey’s Obsessed Live event.

A brilliant opportunity to meet everyone from catering assistants and head chefs to the culinary leads and senior food team.

Hearing about their work around sustainability, food waste and supporting local suppliers, it was hard not to see the alignment with what we’re building at The Rebel Baker.

Lots of good conversations, plenty of inspiration and a reminder that the future of foodservice is about much more than what’s on the plate.

As we take the steps into retail and package development, it felt like the stars aligned.

This week Rebel Baker has been accepted to carry the Buy Women Built mark on our new retail products.

Buy Women Built represents brands founded by women with determination, grit and the stubborn belief that things can be done differently. For me, that feels pretty close to home. Building a business from scratch while raising a child, figuring things out as you go, backing yourself when there isn’t always a clear path. That’s the reality for a lot of women in business.

So being able to put that mark on our packs as we move into retail feels like a natural fit. Not just for me, but for what The Rebel Baker stands for.

Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be previewing our new Mini Rebels retail packs here and as always, I’ll be looking for some honest, real life feedback before they hit the shelves.
