FAMILY FUN DAY x
I am proud to be a supply partner to BaxterStorey and we teamed up for an event serving allergen free soft serve with Rebel Baker cookies, getting through around 500 of each. Nobody knew that they were allergen free.
Saturday was one of those days that reminded me exactly why The Rebel Baker exists but one little moment made the day for me.
A family came up and were ordering seven ice creams and cookies, and I noticed a little girl, maybe four years old, standing to the side looking pretty gutted while everyone else chose theirs. I asked if she wanted one too and her mum said, “Sorry, she’s got allergies.”
When I told her mum that the soft serve and cookies were free from soya and nuts, this wee girl’s whole face just lit up and she got to have exactly what everyone else was having. Then it made me realise “this is the whole point.”
She didn’t need a separate option ✓
Not something brought out from the back ✓
Not watching everyone else eat....Just included.
