1st Aylesford Brownies

1st Aylesford Brownies 1st Aylesford Brownies is a brownie pack covering Aylesford, Kent. We run at 24 to 30 children within the pack.

We work with 7-11 year olds of all backgrounds, abilities and nationalities. The girls can participate in a wide range of activities at the meetings, and at special events, day trips, sleepovers, camps and holidays. They can find themselves trying out arts and crafts or recipes, playing energetic games, taking part in community action projects, or zooming down zip wires at one of our activity cent

res.Girls can also extend their knowledge and abilities by working towards Brownie interest badges covering many different hobbies and activities from Science investigator to cook!

It's been an absolutely amazing 11 or 12 years with 1st Aylesford Brownies and 1st Eccles Brownies. We have pack holidayed together, been on numerous outings, learned so many crafts and talents and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Tonight I have hung up my hat and retired early (very very very very early) from Guiding. I have loved my time with brownies and have been very proud over the years of not only being part of an amazing movement but having had so many wonderful children coming through the pack. Watching them grow up and mature ... gaining confidence and finding their likes and dislikes. I do hope that I have been able to make a little bit of difference to their lives as they certainly have to mine! Keep in touch everyone and THANK YOU so much for all the wonderful gifts and best wishes!

I would like to say thank you so much to my leaders for all their support over the years - Julie aka Finch, Heather aka Snowy Owl formerly known as Buttercup, Helen aka Wagtail, Helen aka Robin, Emily S aka Kingfisher and Gracie aka Blossom who have also stepped back with me this evening. It has been a wonderful few years and I do hope that if we bump into any brownies in the future that they will not forget us and will come and say hello. I feel confident that we are leaving the pack in good hands and that the brownies will continue to enjoy their guiding experiences. Thank you everyone.

Due to the lovely summer weather we have decided to play it safe and meet at the hall at 5.30. Normal pick up time of 7.00 will apply.

We will be having an indoor picnic as a district so it will be a busy venue with 100 children in attendance so where possible can you use alternative parking to save clogging up the hall car park.

If the sun graces us with his presence, we may be able to get outside for some fun with the parachute so sensible shoewear still applies.

It doesn't look as if the weather is going to be kind to us doesn't it??? Final decision time will be made at just before 5pm but it looks like we may have to meet at the hall and have an indoor picnic instead!!! Keep an eye on this page for updates.
