🐝 This World Bee Day, it’s worth remembering that gardens play a bigger role for bees than many people realise.

Even small outdoor spaces can help support bees throughout spring and summer by providing nectar-rich plants and places to thrive.

A few bee-friendly favourites include:
• Lavender
• Alliums
• Foxgloves
• Salvia
• Verbena

Leaving some areas a little wilder and choosing nectar-rich plants can make a real difference.

⚠ Tandridge Garden Waste Service – service disruption

Unfortunately, due to staff shortages at Biffa, garden waste collections are suspended from Tuesday 12th to Friday 15th May and then again from Tuesday 19th May to Friday 22nd May. Disruption may also continue into next week, please check back for updates or refer to The Green Waste Club website.

If your collection is affected, you can put out up to three black sacks of garden waste for each brown bin at your next scheduled collection.

Please note:
- Residents must provide their own sacks.
- Sacks or reusable bags will not be returned.

With summer getting closer, lavender will soon start making an appearance in gardens across the UK.
