Just had a great meal at SOLT the new place to eat in Shavington.
It's beautifully refurbished and the owner and staff were friendly and welcoming.
We ordered 5 small plates and it was plenty for the 2 of us.
A brisket burger
Wood smoked prawns
Baby roast potato bravas
Baby corn ribs
Slow roast pork belly.
Each plate was bursting with flavour and we're already thinking about what we want to try next time 😋.
Oh, and somebody had a massive very sticky, sticky toffee pudding and it wasn't me 😅

** Using up leftovers**
I didn't have time for a proper breakfast this morning because of a very early appointment at Royal Stoke.
On the way home we got talking about the soup and sandwiches we had earlier in the week.
I had leftover ham (always cook a large one, enough for all the family).
And leftover cauliflower cheese from yesterday, ( I steam leeks and peas along with the cauliflower to get that extra bit of veg in).
I added a splash of milk and some saved ham stock and got the stick blender out.
Voila....cauliflower cheese soup for one!
(The other half is happily knocking a golf ball about Wales).

Another month has flown past...... Audley Artisan Market at Audley Pensioners’ Village Hall is this Saturday 10 till 1pm.
I'm sure most of you will recognise Ann as one of our Vintage Tealady Volunteers.
In a few weeks Ann wil be setting off on an adventure of a lifetime.
I'm sure everyone will be happy to support her by awarding this months donation to her chosen cause.
