Understated. Elegant. Timeless. 🤍✨
I just love having free reign on designing!

A gorgeous design featuring a fleur-de-lis centrepiece and 2 tiers carefully hand painted, dusted with pearl lustre, and polished to create its soft, luminous finish. Finished with pearl detailing and elegant white florals, this cake is a beautiful example of how subtle details can make the biggest statement.

Sometimes the best projects are the ones that push you beyond your comfort zone.
This was my first time making a dragon and my first time using modelling chocolate, but a model with this much detail needed me to step outside my usual techniques.
I did plan to film the sculpting process, but because it was my first time working with modelling chocolate, I genuinely had no idea how it was going to go, or how angry and frustrated I was going to get! 😅

I coloured the modelling chocolate a pale red before sculpting the dragon. Every feature was crafted by hand, and every single scale was hand embossed to bring the texture to life.
Once sculpted, I laid down a rich red base with the airbrush before building depth with deep purple shading. Silver edible paint was then applied to catch the raised scales and highlight all that incredible texture. To finish, I sprayed it with a clear edible glaze for that realistic shine, and the claws were hand made from white fondant.

I have a feeling this will be one of those creations I'll look back on in a few years and think, "How the hell did I do that?" ❤️🐉

✨ Dragons, treasure, mysterious forests and a little touch of magic... this fantasy-themed cake was such a fun one to create! Featuring a fully hand-painted woodland scene, a hand-sculpted dragon, a bubbling cauldron, and the sweetest little jackalope. Every detail was carefully crafted by hand to bring this magical design to life for Suzanne. Suzanne knew exactly what she wanted her cake to look like and I'm so glad I got the pleasure of creating it for her🐉✨🌲
