Hey guys just a quick update! You'll all know by now that I'm back at uni 🤓🌍
Things are getting quite hectic so I've decided to stop all commercial orders. Unfortunately this means I have had to stop supplying to The Copper Oven, Coast and Mill of Inverarity Farm Shop (Your Sweets honesty box will continue until Christmas).
My uni work is an absolute priority for me at this time and running a business alongside is proving rather testing. I am fully booked for the rest of the year but I have also decided not to reopen my diary again in 2023. I've gone back and forth over the last few weeks on the decision. I thought back to when I was completing my last degree and how stressed/sleep deprived I was trying to do both. And so, for my own mental and physical health I am putting the cakes on hold for the foreseeable future.
I won't be making Christmas desserts and I will not be attending any Xmas markets. I may still attend summer markets though as they are outwith term time, but will keep everyone up to date once I see how things go over the next few months at Uni.
Just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the last 4 years, this has not been and easy decision. All I can say is it's not goodbye forever, but it's goodbye for now 💛

Anyone with a cake booked in for this year will still receive their cake. Wedding orders for 2023 with deposits paid and that are outwith term time will still go ahead too but I will be messaging everyone in my diary to confirm this weekend 🙏

This is sadly the last drop off to the farm shop for the foreseeable 😢 unfortunately my uni work is far more intense than I had thought and I simply don't have the same time available to supply the shop every week. Huge thank you to all the customers who have been buying my cakes over the last year or so from Mill of Inverarity, your support has been tremendous 🥰

I might manage a sneaky drop off here and there (out with term time) but will keep you all posted 😋🍰👀

Just want to say a huge thank you to everyone for the overwhelming support after announcing my news of returning to University 🙏🌍 I was a bit nervous but all your kind words and best wishes made me feel so happy and that I'd made the right decision ☺️

I am now fully booked for celebration cakes for the rest of the year so your only opportunity to get a hold of some cakes will be treat boxes or winter markets ❄️ I will keep you all up to date though 👌 I won't be opening my 2023 diary for birthday cakes until the start of December until I get my Semester 2 timetable so please hang tight and again I will make a post when it is open🥰

Thanks so much again, I really do have THE BEST customer 🤩

So I have some exciting personal news...
I'm going back to university! 👩‍🎓🙈
Over time I have become increasingly concerned about the state of our planet and the urgent changes we all must make to help save it. So I begin studying Environmental Sustainability and Geography at the University of Dundee this week as part of my own journey to help save our planet 🌍
This does however mean that my baking hours will be significantly changing in order to make time for my studies 📖 I will continue to supply cakes weekly to my regular commercial customers but celebration cakes will be restricted to weekends only and with limited availability. I will still continue with markets and wedding cakes during the summer and all cakes booked in already will be honoured for the dates previously agreed. I also aim to do random treat boxes more regularly so you don't miss out on the tasty treats 😏😋
I am so excited for this next chapter and to be involved in something that can make a real difference. As always I am so grateful for your continued support and truly appreciate your understanding 🙏
In life you need to do what is good for the soul and this is good for mine ☮️
