I know several of our posts have weather related this week, and whilst we all hope for sunshine for outside weddings, we also have a heat tolerance for when it gets ‘too hot’ 🥵 (rare as that is in the UK).
We therefore put together this little prompt sheet for helping to stay safe and cool at weddings during the hotter periods.

It's my wedding anniversary today! 17 years married to this one (23 years together!)

We decided to tie the knot, literally, in Sri Lanka with a Buddhist ceremony and then we had a party, when we came back, at The Official Craig y Nos Castle in July (as a side note, I always look forward to doing ceremonies at Craig y Nos as it's such a special place personally for me)

I did a ceremony here a couple of years ago and I can vouch for how amazing it is, with plenty of space for people to camp and a huge event yurt, together with a beautiful, historic chapel for your ceremony.

Just looking back at some pics of weddings! Charlotte and Mathew's wedding was awesome, funny, fabulous and heartfelt all at the same time!

There were tears of laughter, and tears just because the sentiments were so beautifully expressed! Plus the venue - st fagans castle - was awesome!

Love working with who took this photo!!

We organised a bubble moment as the couple jumped the broom into their next chapter!

If you have booked me for a wedding, and you are wondering how the process of creating your ceremony works, well, look no further!

💛 I like to gather information on you and your ceremony, via a Q&A form which is sent after you have confirmed your booking.

🌼 So you can see the rough shape of things to come, I will draft out a ceremony plan which may include your story details before we have a planning meeting. I like to do this before the meeting so you can bring your ideas to the meeting too and if you've asked about any details (such as a hand-fasting, ring warming or any other addition) you can see how they work and see, most importantly, if they are for you. The ceremony might not look and feel more than a sketch at this point!

💛 After our planning meeting, I will shape up your ceremony and this is where it looks more like your wedding! I'll probably send you a reminder of bits you need to do (such as write vows and make hand-fasting cords) along with this next version.

🌼 The final version is completed when all the bits come together: the vows, any other ideas for the ceremony and all edits have been completed. This is just like the final fitting of a bespoke dress or tailor made suit! I like to have this ready a month before your wedding so you can relax and look forward to the big day!

Just popping on here to say I am still here and very much alive! I've just been a bit busy lately and not updated for a while!

Looking forward to this years' weddings - most of them are outdoor types in awesome locations, plus I'll be returning to one of my favourite venues - The Official Craig y Nos Castle - not once but twice this year! Why is it my favourite? I had my own wedding party there in July 2009 - we were the first to use the "new" conservatory!

January - March is ceremony writing, so let me introduce you to my little bengal helper, Djinn 💛

She really isn't as angry as she looks - in fact, she has a heart-shaped rosette on her side so I call her the love cat.

She loves to get involved in writing all the stories of how you met, how your love developed, your hopes for the future and she gets really excited about any rituals you want to add...

I had to steal my husband's blanket today to encourage her to supervise from the side, rather than adding her thoughts via treading on the keyboard (I doubt any one understands the legend yyykkkkggggggg111111111 or fggggggghhhhhhhhllll that she usually types, or the huge gap between words when she's stepped on the space bar...)

Anyway, if you still haven't booked a celebrant, I have one or two weekends free in 2026 so drop me (and Djinn) a message!
