Cheerio Sidmouth, it’s been lovely ☺️ what a beautiful morning today too.
It’s been wonderful spending a few days with my mum, and even though the thought of an ‘old fashioned’ coach trip might fill some with dread, where the average age is around 75, and you have to sit on the same table every breakfast/evening with 5 people you don’t know, it’s been bloomin’ brilliant.
There was a lovely mum and daughter (younger than me😉) on our table, a couple who live not far from us - it was his 80th birthday today so we all sung ‘happy birthday’ to him, and another chap who used to be an RAF chaplain and was a font of knowledge.
We’re often too quick to dismiss other people and stay in our comfort zone of what and who we know.
Those who know me know I’m generally not backwards in coming forwards but I didn’t used to be like that - I used to be shy!!
Get out there, say ‘good morning’ to someone you don’t know - it will probably brighten your day and will hopefully brighten theirs too ☺️❤️
