I am demonstrating sugar flower making at The Wi******er Foodies Festival on Friday and Saturday this coming weekend. If you are at a loose end come along and watch. It is a great event full of local food companies selling the amazing produce our area has to offer as well and demonstrations by talented chefs for you to watch through out the day.

The best feedback!

This was such a stunning wedding with buckets of peonies and cottage garden flowers all through the marquee. The pressed wild flowers on the cake were a perfect match.

The best part of my job is placing a cake in a venue and it looking like it totally belongs there, in amongst the rest of the decor.

It’s peony season! They are blooming in our gardens and in the shops ready to bring home to put in vases. The season is short however, so if you want peonies on your wedding cake in September that is no problem if you choose sugar flowers. Any flowers, any season, that is the beauty of sugar as well as being totally food safe, unlike most flowers that are grown commercially.

So save this post if you are hoping to have peonies on your cake out of season

There is something so special about making cakes for the milestones in life and being part of those events in some way. From weddings, to christenings, first birthdays and anniversaries.

This cake was for a very special little Dot a few weekends ago and travelled all the way to the aisle of Wight for the celebrations.
