So what a year 2023 has been so far!

Our daughter got married last month, to the love of her life and what a fabulous day too - although very warm! It was a day to remember for them.

As anyone who knows my daughter - knows she has a love for the colour pink and also Winnie The Pooh - so this was featured and a theme running throughout - and this was complimented by the afternoon tea for her afternoon reception.

The majority of the venue and reception decorations were undertaken by us but we couldn't have done it without the help of the following people and their businesses along with family and friends who all rallied to help during setup and on the day.

Since the wedding we have also welcomed our first grandchild - so life and business has taken a bit of a diversion at the moment - we have been supporting our daughter and our new son-in-law with the transition of becoming parents and enjoying lots of cuddles as well.

We will be back to normal as soon as we can and have had a well earned rest and catch up on sleep and, of course, more cuddles with our little one

I am working through the backlog and after having a longer recovery period than expected - I am now working through all the quotes and enquiries - If you have yet to receive your quote or reply x

Good Afternoon all,

Unfortunately I have been admitted into hospital over the weekend and have been told that this may be an elongated stay.

Life sometimes likes to remind you that you're not infallible and you need to look after yourself.

So for the next two weeks I am afraid I am out of action and will not be able to take on any orders.

I have passed all my work onto a lovely lady Sue to fulfill all orders for this and beginning of next week.

Those who have orders for the end of this week - please do not worry - nothing has changed and all arrangements remain in place.

I have someone monitoring the page but until then - The Cake Basket will be closed.

I will be back fighting fit and looking forward to being able to help you again.

Here at The Cake Basket , we hope you have had a lovely Christmas and Festive season and we wish you all a very Happy New Year.

We would like to say a big thank you for all your orders, kindness and support throughout 2022 whatever the occasion and look forward to 2023 !

We have taken some very much needed time off from creating beautiful cakes, cupcakes and biscuits this year and we will be back on Monday 16th January 2023 - how odd to say 2023!

We will be offline until then enjoying some much needed days of rest - but look forward to hearing from you soon .

Just popping on to say hello and to say we are still here !

We are pleased the temperature has lowered slightly and whilst this is very much appreciated another challenge has arisen this week.

We have been having fun and games with our power and suffering powercuts recently (out of our hands). The WiFi had it's own moment but was sorted quickly and efficiently - the powercuts are still happening on and off so it means we are trying to pick up your messages in between these outages.

Wow!!
Well August is just as busy as July !! We are fully booked for August!
We are still inundated with cake orders and enquiries and are working as quickly as we can to respond to you all and the current summer weather has eased slightly in sunshine but the heat is still with us, and the kitchen is hotter still! 😕 So we are still working at cooler parts of the day hence the replies at strange times of the day.

Due to this we are quite delayed and we are trying very hard to play catch up and we will be replying to all messages as soon as we can.

Please bear with us, as it is still an extremely busy few weeks of the calendar, what with all the different celebrations in full swing such as birthdays, anniversaries, and not forgetting the weddings too so if you send a message during this time - we will try to get back to you as soon as we possibly can and thank you in advance for your patience.
