Fishing Report
On Sunday we hosted our annual Breast Cancer Now Charity competition with 22 anglers fishing a 4 hour kill 2 fish ticket, with the heaviest bag winning.
1st Paul Mallaburn 2nd Tyler Mallaburn 3rd Peter McEwan. Thank you to all who took part and donated to the Charity.
Anglers have caught fish using a mixture of tactics with some landing fish using intermediate lines and others netting fish using floating lines.
Monday Tuesday Saturday 8:30am until 17:00
Wednesday Thursday Friday Sunday 8:30am until 18:00
John Angus fished various flies over both lakes netting 7 fish
Steve Mole caught 6 fish on Long Crag one being 12lb +
Paul Mallaburn fished Lures and Worms on Long Crag returning 7 fish
Matty Devine landed 12 fish using Lures on Long Crag
B. Purcell caught 5 fish using White Lures
Ross Calder fished Lures over both lakes safely returning 6 fish

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in yesterday’s Breast Cancer Now Charity Competition, and to everyone who donated, bought raffle tickets and supported the day.

It was a fantastic day as always, with some great catches!

Fishing Report:
It’s definitely starting to feel like autumn now, with the cooler weather bringing some much-improved fishing conditions over the past week. The fish have been responding well to the drop in temperatures, with Daddys proving to be the fly of choice this week. There have been some good opportunities on the surface, so if you’re heading out, make sure you’ve got a few Daddys in the box!

We’re pleased to say that the Bait Lake is now open and ready for fishing. With October half term just around the corner, it’s a great opportunity to get the kids out for a day of fishing.

The nights are certainly drawing in now, so make the most of our later closing times while you can.

Wednesday • Thursday • Friday • Sunday
5pm closing:
Monday • Tuesday • Saturday

A reminder that we’ll be holding our Breast Cancer Now fundraising competition on Sunday 11th October. The fishery will remain open as normal.

Mick Hall netted 9 fish on Long Crag using Nymphs and Zonkers
Tony Ruddick fished Buzzers, safely returning 4 fish to Long Crag and 1 to Coe Crag
Sonia Leyden returned 4 fish to Long Crag using various flies
Mark Reed successfully landed 7 fish on Long Crag using Daddy's
Ken Glenton caught 5 fish on Long Crag and 2 on Coe Crag using Eggs
Iee Abbot released 14 fish on Long Crag using various flies
Matty Devine released 15 fish to Long Crag during one of his visits, 2 of which were beautiful Browns
