✨ The wedding cake rescue nobody saw coming… 🤍
Last Friday at 11pm, I received a call from the brother of a groom who was due to get married the very next day.
Their wedding cake nightmare had happened before the big day had even begun — while being transported to the venue, their original 3-tier cake, made by another baker, was damaged. 😱
I was asked if there was anything I could do to make sure the bride and groom still had a beautiful, elegant cake to cut on their special day.
After lots of conversation about what they had originally planned, the style they loved, and what I could realistically create at such short notice, the challenge was on…
16 hours later, I arrived at the venue with this! 🤍✨
Inspired by the original design and incorporating decorations from the damaged cake, I created a new cake that I hope gave the happy couple one less thing to worry about on their wedding day.
From a late-night phone call to a finished wedding cake in just 16 hours… sometimes the biggest wedding-day disasters can have the sweetest endings🎂🤍
I was so honoured to be trusted with such an important last-minute rescue. 🥹✨
