On International Women's Day I'd like to say thank you to all the inspirational and wonderful women who get stuff done.
A special thank you to Hannah and Nicole, two police officers at Warwickshire Police who rushed to our aid when I called 999 yesterday.
I was approaching a roundabout, and another driver lost control of their vehicle, mounted the kerb, went over the grass verge, into my carriageway and smashed into the side of my car.
A massive thank you to Kia UK whose side impact air bags in my Kia e-Niro exploded immediately, cushioning the impact, and protecting me from serious harm.
Hannah and Nicole whizzed to our aid within minutes of the 999 call, and took control of the situation with calm, caring, warmth and professionalism.
They made sure myself and the other people involved were all safe. They took all our details calmly and patiently, breathalysed us (all parties were clear), and made sure we had all the information we needed. They organised a tow truck for my car, which was undriveable. And they gave me a lift home.
It was only my second time in a police car, the first having been when filming with Warwickshire County Council's Road Safety Education Team - a video for primary school children on how not to be distracted when on or near roads.
During our drive back in the squad car I discovered that I had a lot in common with police officers Hannah and Nicole - a love of dogs, a love of helping people, and a fondness for cake!
Another big thank you to the team at EZOO for sorting me out with a replacement car within 24 hours - so I'm back on the road.
If everyone reading this can try not to drive into the side of my current car, that would be lovely, because although I'd love to meet Hannah and Nicole again, I'm sure they've got other police work to do.
So here's to all the Hannahs and Nicoles and all the other amazing women in the world who get stuff done, with humour, professionalism, caring and practicality. You all deserve lots of cake.
