We have slowly arisen from our Christmas slumber! A huge thank you to all of our customers and suppliers for all of your support over 2025. We are excited for the year ahead and hope you will join us as we have lots of delicious things in the pipeline!

If you’ve been missing our frangipane tarts you’ll be pleased to know they’re back on the counter this week. Today’s offering is apple and quince compote. See you soon for a slice 😋

🧀 Christmas cheese events at the Angel Bakery are back! 🍻

Join us on Saturday 13th and Saturday 20th December for our Jumi cheese toastie x Sobremesa event in the courtyard.

Adrian from .drinks my will be back pouring pints of his delicious beer and cider - the perfect accompaniment to our Christmas cheese toastie; raclette, mustard & quince with the option to add smoked ham in our white sourdough. These will only be available on these two Saturdays so make sure you pop down to try one while you can and stock up on all your Christmas cheese 🧀

Christmas decs are up and we are feeling festive! Bettina and Myomi are the talented duo behind our display this year, from the handmade stockings stuffed with baguettes to the gold leaf pears hanging from our tree. All we need now is some mince pies…

A few weeks ago we travelled to Edinburgh to visit our butter supplier, The Edinburgh Butter Co. It was a pleasure to meet them and see how they make the very butter that goes into all of our vienoisserie. The best butter makes the best pastries!

Thank you to Chloe, Hillary and Nick for inviting us over and for taking time out of your busy schedule to show us behind the scenes. And to Federico and his team in the production room for allowing us to step into the world of butter churning!

Their process involves culturing British cream to create a thick and silky creme fraîche that it is then churned in small batches to create a rich and delicious butter. And we are delighted to be introducing their salted cultured butter rolls in our shop. We recommend spreading lashings onto toasted sourdough or a soft white roll - delicious! 🧈

November bread is here and we think you’re going to like this one! Introducing our first multi-seed sourdough. Sunflower and pumpkin seeds, millet, rolled oats and malted wheat flakes are mixed into and sprinkled over our white sourdough. Delicious with just about everything and for November only. Come and try one!

Our youngest member of the team has been busy picking quince this week. Benji and co would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who offered us their fruit to us this year. It will be on our danish and in our much loved mincemeat very soon!
