Finally…..the daffodil bulbs are going into the ground 👏 and I have to say what really helped was ordering them from .co.uk when we treated ourselves in May and they where all delivered last week - so there was no excuse to forget this year!

The bulb planter which is an excellent bit of kit you can get similar from

Very excited to see them popping up next spring 🌼

The pears this year went nuts and we have the most amazing crop.

The bloody ploughman apple story however is definitely a bit of a shocker.

Well that was quite a wish list Mr Martin ❤️

We are just over the moon to have such an amazing first harvest of nectarines and figs particularly after such a long wet spring and they are best served off the tree.

May (our youngest) has been riding for years now and is a gutsy wee rider who just adores it and we have been looking for a 14h - 14.2h bomb proof old faithful for her to love, look after and experience the freedom, companionship and fun that a pony can bring.

As for the doves and peacocks 🦚 🤪 that’s definitely mr martins domain.

Please DM us if anyone is looking to rehoming, sell or loan any of the above.

Every plant has a story, a purpose and is very much loved.

Our native Hedgerows hold so much magic, as a habitat, not only do they supply food and shelter to many, but there are incredible stories behind the complex flora and fauna communities - such as the dog rose and the tiny Robin pincushion gall wasp which fascinatingly are mainly female and can reproduce without mating (parthenogenesis)
Even the smallest hedgerow or wild corner is worth planting and nurturing as these species rich biodiverse habitats have sadly become so rare.

We have had 2 amazing new wild flowers arrive in the meadow. The first is the stunning evening primrose that opens at night and is loved by night feeding insects, it is also used to create the nourishing evening primrose oil. The second is the exquisitely coloured field scabious, the stunning little florets are packed full of nectar so the insects love it. Historically it was also used in the treatment of scabies.

Hamish and I always get so excited when we see the ants taking their nuptial flights it’s incredible to see so many of these amazing creatures taking to the air. After mating the queens chew off their own wing so they can easy go under ground to build a new nest / colony, but what’s more they use the digested wing muscles as nutrients whilst newly underground, nature is just awesome.
