Sweet Shire Cakes & Bakes is going on pause for now. With the rising costs of ingredients, electricity and fuel, combined with everyone feeling the pinch (and cutting back on little luxuries and treats) it just isn’t quite adding up at the moment.

I’ve loved every minute of baking for you all and I’m so grateful to everyone who has ordered from and supported my little business.

Here’s hoping that we can come back at some point in the future and bring you all our delicious cakes, sausage rolls and platters! 💜

I’ll also be revisiting my best ever cinnamon rolls too and working on perfecting some that don’t need me to get up at 4am 😅

A change from cake, sausage rolls and charcuterie today! Making my absolute favourite jam - Strawberry, Rose & Vanilla ❤️🩷🤍

We finished the last batch a while ago and whilst my highly scented wild roses 🌹 are still covered in flowers, now was the time to do another batch. It makes the best breakfast ever slathered on to my home made toasted soda bread 🍞, along with some lovely salted butter 🧈 😋 🤤

It still has loads of buds so🤞I can do another batch next week - as that’ll be it until the 🌹 are back next year!

What’s your favourite flavour jam?
