My red bean mooncake with salted egg yolk ✨ It is supposed to be the highlight for the end of this month, in celebration of Chinese New Year, but you all are very enthusiastic of my coming back 🥺 so I guess there won’t be plenty of time for me to prepare these mooncakes in pretty hampers for this week.
I’ve tried some of these back in Jakarta, so I chose red bean to be the fillings and adjusted the recipe according to my taste. Honestly I’m not a fan of salted egg yolks, but I know the yolks gave a deep meaning to this mooncake. I’ll give a hint - it’s going to be sweet and savory in the mouth.
